Crossroads Café at a Distance is
designed to give teachers and administrators an overview of the
Crossroads Café Wraparound version program along with best
practices for teaching the course. The course discusses in
depth distance learning as well as the advantages and
limitations you may encounter within a distance learning
program. This course prepares teachers by training them in best
instructional practices for reaching distance learning students
with Crossroads Cafe Wraparound version. You will learn about
the both existing materials and the need for creating new
materials to best suit your program needs.

The course is more than a reading tutorial –
it’s interactive. This means there are activities and assignments
that will keep instructors engaged.

Assignments – Lessons are included to
provide pragmatic use in starting or working in a distance
learning program.

Video – There are short video clips that
participants will view each lesson during the course that
illustrate key components in distance learning.

Discussion Board – Participants will be
asked periodically to post their reflections on the discussion
board. This will give them a chance to read what others are
thinking as well.

Knowledge Checks - At the end of each
lesson, there’s a short Quiz to ensure understanding of the
content.

Course Summary Exam. Successful completion
of the summary exam and each of the lesson quizzes is required
for a certificate of completion.
